  • A valid passport
  • A valid international driving licence
  • A valid temporary local (Sri Lankan) driving licence
  • Valid working credit card

You’ll need a valid International Driving Permit (Geneva Convention 1949 format) and a Temporary Sri Lanka Driving Permit (TDL). Obtaining a TDL is compulsory for foreigners.

  • You can obtain it yourself in Sri Lanka at the Sri Lanka Motor Traffic Department.
  • Or we can obtain it on your behalf (mention when requesting a quote).

Yes. No age restrictions are in place. Anyone with a valid driver’s license can rent a vehicle.

Reservations

Booking, cancellations, modifications and rental inclusions.

The basic rental price typically covers the vehicle and standard insurance. Optional extras may include:

  • Unlimited mileage or mileage restrictions
  • Additional driver fees
  • Baby seat rental
  • Navigation systems
  • Fuel charges
  • Optional insurance upgrades

One-way rentals are possible but typically incur an additional fee. Our rental staff will conduct a thorough vehicle inspection at the collection point to ensure the vehicle’s condition before finalizing the rental agreement.

Cancellation policies vary depending on the type of reservation and how close it is to the pickup date. Please contact our team for detailed cancellation terms.

Reservation modifications are possible, preferably with at least 24 hours' notice. Changes can even be made at the collection point, subject to vehicle availability.

Modification costs vary depending on the vehicle model selected. We offer flexible charge policies for reservation changes to ensure the most convenient rental experience possible.

During Rental Period

Accidents, damage handling, mileage limits and rental rules.

If the vehicle is damaged during the rental period, the customer will be required to pay the Non-Operation Charge (NOC).

This charge compensates for potential loss of earnings while the vehicle is being repaired or cleaned, regardless of the severity of the damage or repair duration.

If you are involved in an accident:

  • Move the vehicle to a safe location.
  • Assist any injured parties.
  • Report the accident to the police immediately.
  • Collect details of the other party involved.
  • Contact our Customer Support Desk.

Do not negotiate private settlements on the spot. This will invalidate insurance coverage and make you fully responsible for all costs.

In case of theft, report immediately to the police and inform our office.

  • 100 km per day for short-term rentals
  • 3000 km per month for monthly rentals
