How to Get IDP Endorsed in Sri Lanka

  • Passport-size photograph
IDP alone is NOT valid without local endorsement.

Temporary Sri Lankan Driving Licence (TSDL)

Issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Werahara. Valid for light vehicle categories only.

  • Copy of country license (front & back)
  • Passport copy
  • Passport-size photograph

Regular Sri Lankan Driving Licence

Available to residents and long-term visa holders. Application must be made through the DMV.
